- Because I was not sexually aware when I was born.
- Because I don’t need to make excuses for what I am.
- Because it’s psychologically improbable that innate tendencies are the only thing playing into someone’s identity.
- Because it dismisses everything that happens to a person post-uterus.
- Because you really don’t need to give people excuses for being queerphobic like “But I was born this way.”
- Because I’m allergic to blanket feel-good statements.
It also dismisses the fact that sexuality, for many people, is fluid. I don’t believe in a stagnant sexuality. While it may be less fluid for certain individuals, sexuality is something that evolves over time.
